'Ello there!

First of all, I'd like to thank all of you so far for the welcomes, favs, and even usage of my stock in these first few days! ^^ It's very appriciated, and I hope we continue to... well... use each other? Oh dear, that doesn't sound very nice.

Anyhow, I'm Sarah, sixteen years old and located in the South of the U.S. I'm a fan of classic beauty, pure white dresses, soft pinks and pastels, but also can appriciate the bright hues of punk photography and black leather, although I'll dare say you'll never catch ME in it!
I created this stock account because I love to see what people can do with photos taken, mainly because I'm not all that talented in the manip. department.

The rules for using my stock is quite simple,
I ask that you don't use it outside of dev.art unless you ask me,
That you post a link in your finished artwork back to either my account or the stock used,
And that you post a link to your finished artwork on my page or on the page of the stock used.
:] Pretty simple, eh?

I'd like to supply you guys with whatever you personaly need as the true artists and manipulators.
The few things I will NOT do,
Are simply:
- Suggestive, nude, and otherwise in general untasteful pictures.

Other than that, if you give me suggestions for pictures needed,
I'll do my best to comply to those needs. :]

Also, my main account can be found at: [link]

Adieu! <3

maybe you would want to let up on the contrast in your photos.. the brightness renders the photos pretty useless..
:iconbj666:
hey no problem.. how are you over-exposing them? can you adjust the exposure with your digicam or are u just over exposing them in photoshop..
take pictures without a flash but get a strong lamp to either one of your sides.. i find pictures taken with a standard flash all look the same because of the strong light being projected straight forward.. you will find that pictures taken without a flash look so much better.. get a tripod or set up your camera on some books or something and use the cameras timer.. that way you wont get any camera shake blurriness and you will be able to pose in different ways rather than holding the camera arms distance away which again makes all pictures look the same.. and honestly when people take pictures that way it does themselves no justice..
try to just submit pictures raw straight from the camera :D

have a good day!
:iconlovenstock:
Alrighty then! :] I think it's the flash that does it... I don't really do anything in photoshop other than increase the saturation a bit. I'm submitting in just a bit a few pictures that I took during that time period which were not taken with the flash. About three of them were taken by friends, so it should be different from the typical, not to mention I'm submitting much more stock other than of self-portrait type. I'll try the light idea next time, do you think a strong lamp at an angle would work well?

Also, should all stock pictures be in full raw color, or is it alright to submit any sepia or black and white tones? I have a few pictures which are of beautiful full-body poses, but my friends and I took them in silly shades on the camera, not quite thinking.

And once again, thanks a lot! You prevented me from submitting a whole bunch of those way too light pictures. *whew* I think I have a lot to learn about stock and photomanipulation! But deviantart needs more people like you who are honest enough to keep people from submitting crap. XD

Have a lovely night!

I was thinking that... I may take down the contrast on a few and re-submit, that's what over-expossure will do, I suppose. Thank you VERY much for the constructive criticism. =] It's more appriciated that you know!
